Radiohead’s Philip Selway will release his third solo album, Strange Dance, on February 24 via Bella Union. These 10 new songs feature the musician’s collaborations with, among others, Portishead guitarist Adrian Utley, electronic/orchestral composer Hannah Peel and percussionist Valentina Magaletti. Selway himself is stepping away from drums for the record, his first since 2014’s warmly received Weatherhouse “The scale of this was very deliberate from the outset,” he says. “I wanted its soundscapes to be broad and tall but somehow get it to wrap around this intimate vocal at the heart of it. It’s me as a 55-year-old, and not trying to hide that fact.
