VENUE CADOGAN HALL, LONDON DATE 05/10/2024 Two nights ago, Big Big Train played a 300-capacity rock club in Belgium. It’s strange to imagine as we watch tonight’s crowd file into Cadogan Hall – upscale home of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra – with beers and red wine (and, in some cases, T-shirts from the shows Big Big Train played here last year). In some ways, though, that club vibe carries over tonight. Now minus guitarist Dave Foster, and with a brass section of one – on-point trumpeter Paul Mitchell – Big Big Train’s sound is as tight and lush as ever, but it’s also very much a rock show.
