DYSON ZONE When vacuum cleaner manufacturer Dyson announced the world’s first airpurifying headphones, many people took a look at the date of the news (April 1) and assumed it was a prank; Dyson were forced to clarify that it wasn’t. Intended to solve both air pollution and noise pollution, the Zone promises “a plume of fresh air without touching your face, using high-performance filters and two miniaturised air pumps”. Many of us who remember pointing and laughing at anyone in a Sinclair C5 in 1985 will be wondering if Zone wearers will be subject to similar ridicule.
