Pittsburgh’s synth-prog duo release their first album in four years.

US progressive/electronic duo Zombi will release their next full-length album, Direct Inject, via Relapse Records on March 22. The follow-up to 2020 (issued in 2020) and mini-album Liquid Crystal (2021) was written in a more collaborative and spontaneous way than its immediate predecessors, thanks to the end of the pandemic. “This album was good because we were able to sit down in the same room and just roll tape, play and dissect it all after,” drummer Anthony Paterra tells Prog. “2020 and Liquid Crystal, those were done composing on our own, sending ideas back and forth.
