Formed by ex-members of UK prog outfit This Winter Machine with the addition of vocalist Charlie Bramald, Ghost Of The Machine released their debut album in 2022, the quasi-conceptual Scissorgames, to a positive critical response. With this follow-up, they’ve returned to some of the themes and a character introduced on that record, and explore questions of justice and the consequences of an individual wielding great power. “It utilises their influences in effective and affecting ways.” Straight off the bat they channel the sort of neo-prog influences that were apparent on their debut.
