Scottish prog metallers embrace their quirky side on their second full-length album.

TIBERIUS ENTER OUR video-call against a background of a simulated woodland amphitheatre and Prog wonders what we’ve let ourselves in for. The Scots released their debut album, A Peaceful Annihilation, in mid-2020 and didn’t have the easiest ride. However, once the world opened back up they made notable achievements, including festival slots at Radar and Euroblast, which has seen the cultivation of a dedicated fanbase. “At Radar Festival [in ’22] it felt like a lot of people were like, ‘Who the hell are these Tiberius guys?’ but the chatter afterward was really positive,” says guitarist Chris Foster. When they returned the following year, there was a more deliberate and dedicated congregation of fans who really wanted to witness the somewhat chaotic live show that their heroes have become known for.…
