“It’s a doom-laden story,” chuckles Dave Brock darkly as he ponders the theme behind There Is No Space For Us, the 37th studio album from space rock pioneers and standard bearers Hawkwind, which is released via Cherry Red Records on April 18 on CD and double vinyl formats as well as streaming.
“As we all know, humans destroy everything,” explains Brock. “The idea was that basically they’ve destroyed everything on the Earth and they’ve managed to get space travel and have gone off to other planets where they meet up with other races, which they manage to destroy through their greed.
