Experience every detail of a prog milestone. Yes’ 1971 classic arrives in a clear vinyl edition to celebrate Atlantic Records’ 75th anniversary. Aside from the transparent disc, everything about the package seems intended to imitate the original, with the gatefold sleeve and a replica of the booklet that accompanied the 1971 release. The booklet isn’t desperately exciting, and contains a handful of band portraits, but its inclusion is a nice touch. As for the sound of the record, the clarity is almost startling at times. It’s possible to pick out every note that Bill Bruford plays in South Side Of The Sky and there’s such richness to the tone of the grand piano in that tune.
