ESBEN AND THE WITCH ON THEIR “PUREST” ALBUM YET

Hold Sacred is the trio’s sixth LP, and “perhaps their last”.

British dark prog trio Esben And The Witch will release their sixth album, Hold Sacred, on May 12 via Nostromo Records. The “brooding, gentle, almost ambient” record is their first since Nowhere, from 2018. “Everything’s changed and nothing’s changed,” says vocalist Rachel Davies. “This kernel is the purest essence of Esben And The Witch since our inception.” That was over 14 years ago, in Brighton, and these days the trio – Davies, Thomas Fisher and Daniel Copeman – are split across the UK, US and Germany.
