Upcoming mini-album is an “entrée” for the band’s long-awaited new LP, Gargantuan.

Sel Balamir’s band Amplifier will release their new mini-album, Hologram, this spring via Rockosmos. The record comprise five songs that emerged during writing sessions for the band’s highly anticipated seventh full-lengther, Gargantuan. “It’s an appetiser for the main album,” Balamir tells Prog, “but Gargantuan is its own kind of entity. These songs just didn’t fit the mould. The album’s huge and these are much more concise nibbles. It’s an entrée: a dim sum entrée.” Hologram’s lead single, Two Way Mirror, is currently streaming via Bandcamp and available as a free download. Awooga’s Tam Ali guests on Sweet Perfume – Balamir describes that song as “Nirvana puking into a bucket”, the title track as “spacey and reflective”, and he compares Tundra to “Turkish Jethro Tull”.
