The Canadian prog rock duo return with their mighty second album this spring.

Eighteen months after releasing the seven-minute, Rush-inspired single Context: Fearless Pt. I, Canadian duo Crown Lands will unveil their second album on March 31. Out on Spinefarm/Universal Music Canada, Fearless finds them leaning even further into their prog influences. “We wanted to make an epic album that has an epic story,” says vocalist/drummer Cody Bowles. “A side-long track on one side and shorter songs on the second, just like 2112 and all the other albums we love.” Fearless completes Crown Lands’ transition from White Stripes-adjacent modern blues rockers into a more complex and interesting beast. The nine-track album opens with the sweeping 18-minute, multipart Starlifter: Fearless Pt. II, which continues the sci-fi-influenced tale of the titular intergalactic hero, laid out on 2021 single The Oracle and continuing through Fearless Pt.…
