The backend of the 1960s was a very good time to be forming a band that wanted to do their own thing. The spirit of originality was exceedingly generous during this period and Bristol-based Stackridge set about creating their own musical identity.
Popular on the live circuit, while never strictly aligned to what in retrospect would be seen as mainstream underground or progressive rock movements, they were nevertheless infused with that same eclectic propellant fuelling the period.
