Prog supergroup’s joyous return to the stage captured. Many bands talk about the euphoria of being able to play gigs again post-pandemic, and exactly that sense of elation surrounds The Neal Morse Band’s latest live album. Recorded on their 2022 tour at Hamburg’s Markthalle, An Evening Of Innocence & Danger exudes unbridled joy. At three discs and two-and-a-half hours in length, this is certainly VFM. The first two-thirds of the set focuses on last year’s Innocence & Danger album, including heavy-on-theemotions versions of The Way It Had To Be and Waterfall (though there should be a moratorium until the end of time on covering Bridge Over Troubled Water).
