It was the album that put Wishbone Ash on the prog map. Argus, 1972’s ambitious conceptual work, has been given the deluxe 50th anniversary treatment by Madfish and we have a copy of the box set to give away to one lucky reader. Comprising two LPs, three CDs, a DVD, 7-inch single of Blowin’ Free and a 48-page book with rare photographs and extensive liner notes, this numbered and expanded release is housed in Hipgnosis’ eye-catching imagery of a Roman warrior. Among the treasure inside is Martin Turner’s Argus remaster, live recordings from London’s Alexandra Palace in 1973 and Memphis in 1972, as well as four previously unreleased early demos.
