US proggers Dream The Electric Sleep have announced the release of their upcoming studio album American Mystic, which is scheduled to hit the shelves on July 14. This marks the band’s first long-player in seven years, following their 2016 release, Beneath The Dark Sky. The album has been produced by the renowned Michael Beinhorn, recognised for his work with acclaimed acts such as Soundgarden and Red Hot Chili Peppers. “This is the most personal record we’ve written, I think,” says vocalist and guitarist Matt Page, who is joined on the new album by bandmates Joey Waters on drums and Chris Tackett on bass. “We started writing this in 2017 and it felt like each month brought some new social, political or personal upheaval.
