XTC were always more experimental not lost on Steven Wilson, a devoted fan who remixed their music in 5.1 surround sound a decade ago. Andy Partridge in particular grew up on an eclectic ranged from The Monkees to the European avant-garde, which manifested itself in such a way as to make these Swindonites inveterate outliers of the post-punk movement.
