This is the first time that I have felt moved to write to your excellent magazine that I have been devouring cover to cover for over 10 years. At Christmas 2021 I decided to treat myself to five albums that I hadn’t yet heard, and that might surprise me. These were based on Prog magazine’s [critics’ choice] reviews. Of those five I have been playing The Art Of Losing by The Anchoress far more than the others. But could it be replicated live? Because of the pandemic, and other things going on in her life, The Anchoress (Catherine Anne Davies) hasn’t been able to go on tour with her album until now.
