VENUE THE WAITING ROOM, LONDON DATE 30/05/2024 It’s been a while since Lesoir last brought their amalgam of melodic art-rock, atmospheric prog and pop-rock sensibilities to the UK from their native Netherlands. A mini-tour back in March was cancelled due to a sudden medical emergency affecting lead guitarist and main composer Ingo Dassen, and this is the rescheduled (and relocated) London date. For a band who revel in creating often big, cinematic sounds, The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington, one of London’s smallest basement venues, feels a little incongruous.
