A new book detailing the rise of the prog rock revival of the 1980s traces the inspiration behind the scene to the influence of Genesis’ second live album. Andrew Wild, the author of A Mirror Of Dreams – The Progressive Rock Revival 1981 To 1983, which is out via Kingmaker Publishing on June 21, says, “What was really important about the 80s revival was that it wasn’t 30-year-old guys trying to relive their 20-year-old self, it was 20-year-old guys who were new to all of this.
