Permission To Fly delves into existence with a variety of special guest musicians.

Never one to take things easy when there’s the business of making music to be taken care of, Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess is set to return when his new solo album, Permission To Fly, is released via InsideOutMusic on September 6. According to Rudess, it promises to “push creative, sonic and technological boundaries” as it delves “into the complexities of human existence within our multifaceted world.” He adds, “Permission To Fly is a diverse collection – ranging from elaborate prog compositions to sweeping ballads. The songs explore diverse themes from everyday human struggles to supernatural phenomena.” Joining Rudess are variety of guest musicians that include drummer Darby Todd, That Joe Payne on vocals, electric and classical guitarist Stephen Dadaian, and six-string sensation Bastian Martinez providing guest guitar solos.
