Fittingly for an album with such ambitious scope, The Overview will be accompanied by a full-length video mirroring its two tracks. It’s being created by visual artist and regular Wilson collaborator Miles Skarin, whose previous work with the singer includes the memorable, deepfake-inspired video for Self from The Future Bites and promos from Porcupine Tree’s Closure/Continuation album. “He said, ‘It’s going to be two pieces of music, mainly focused around the perspective of the human race in comparison this crazy cosmic scale which we find ourselves in,’” says Skarin, who first encountered Wilson’s music in 2021. “We wanted something that really showed that.” “There’s a lot of crazy visual effects in there, a lot of new techniques.” At the time of going to press, Prog had seen the 23-minute animated…
