A new year and the results of a new Readers’ Poll! There were a few firsts this year, not least it was the first time we did this totally online, meaning no hours of counting up the votes, recounting, checking again, having nightmares and recounting. It seems most people found this the easiest way to vote as we had a record number of entries this year. The results also sprang more than a few surprises, as you are about to discover. As always, a big thanks to everyone who voted in the poll, congratulations to all the nominees and a huge round of applause to those who topped their respective categories.
