Another Fork In The Road – 50 Years Of Kansas INSIDEOUT Nothing if not thorough, this three-disc, 41-song collection spans the entirety of Kansas’ career, presented in reverse chronological order. Disc one begins with the 2022 version of Can I Tell You, featuring Ronnie Platt rather than Steve Walsh on vocals. The tracks taken from Kansas’ recent albums with Platt, 2020’s The Absence Of Presence and 2016’s The Prelude Implicit, mark a late-career return to form. The writing is strong, the production modern but not distractingly so, and Platt brings passion and energy to songs like Throwing Mountains and The Voyage Of Eight Eighteen. Radio favourite Dust In The Wind appears not in the original studio version; instead it’s the performance with the London Symphony Orchestra from 1998’s Always Never…
