Underwater MY KINGDOM MUSIC Italy has a great pedigree when it comes to purveying prog-minded pleasures, from Goblin to newer flag bearers such as DGM and Nosound. Fellow exports Aura have already staked a claim with their first three albums, but have they cemented a place in Italian folklore with their new release Underwater? Not quite, but when the quartet are flexing their muscles amid the melodic, melancholic and metallic prog rock there’s a lot to shout about. It’s just a shame these moments are fleeting; Keep It Safe crackles midway with 2000s Porcupine Tree-esque vigour, while the lurching bass and stuttering drums of My Last Words To You serve up a welcome change of pace. And then there’s On Time too, which takes a detour into early 90s prog…
