David Gilmour is rumoured to be working on a new solo record, which is expected to be released at some point this year. The new album would be the follow-up to 2015’s Rattle That Lock. Gilmour’s wife, the writer and lyricist Polly Samson, has posted a number of photographs on her Instagram account of David working in the studio with various artists. These include long-standing bassist Guy Pratt, Roger Eno on piano, drummer Adam Betts, and bass player Tom Herbert (The Invisible, Polar Bear). Samson also appeared to confirm the new album in an interview with the Romanian website Ziles Inopti. In an English translation, she revealed, “I hope to be back with a new novel as soon as possible.
