And that’s exactly what Finnish brethren Von Hertzen Brothers do, launching into a rousing version of the Prog Award-winning Flowers And Rust at an impressively busy Garage. The audience respond as expected, by joining as one to sing along to its epic and uplifting chorus. That said, a VHB gig is always a treat. The band exude fun, even when engaging in the most intricate of prog songs, and especially with frontman Mikko Von Hertzen’s witty and self-deprecating between-song banter. They also have a new album to promote, the rather joyous In Mumuration, and they start this evening’s proceedings…
