Richie Castellano, bassist with Blue Öyster Cult since 2004, is also known for his work as part of The Band Geeks, who’ve garnered a reputation for their forensic renditions of classic Yes songs such as Close To The Edge. In 2023, The Band Geeks toured with Jon Anderson and in 2024 not only toured with him again but recorded and released the acclaimed True album. “I was heavily into The Beatles as a 13-year-old, but my uncle challenged me by playing Yes’s Heart Of The Sunrise. I wasn’t ready for it – it was beyond my understanding, really out there.
