The prog duo ponder life and the afterlife on Hotel Utopia.

Prog Award-nominated duo The Blackheart Orchestra have announced details of their new, 13-track album Hotel Utopia, set for release on August 26 via Ceandar Records. The follow-up to their acclaimed 2019 release Mesmeranto sees the Manchester pair exploring life, and what’s beyond. “Hotel Utopia is the human condition,” explains vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Chrissy Mostyn, “and we are the guests. But is the hotel our current life or the afterlife? Each song is a reflection on our existence, our fears and the many things life encompasses.” The album was preceded in April by lead track, Under The Headlights, which features the voice of influential Zen philosopher Alan Watts.
