Remixes and brand-new song from Alex Lifeson’s ‘other’ band. Alex Lifeson told Prog last year, “Suddenly I felt, ‘I’m a musician again!’” He was chatting about Envy Of None’s eponymous debut LP and his involvement in the synth texture-rich band – comprising himself, singer Maiah Wynne, former Coney Hatch bassist Andy Curran and producer/engineer Alf Annibalini. It was initially tentative, but Envy Of None’s dark, prog and industrial-goth world transpired to be an absorbing safety valve for Lifeson after Neil Peart’s passing negated Rush. This five-track EP brings trippy remixes of Envy Of None’s Dog’s Life and Dumb alongside Lethe River and You’ll Be Sorry, the latter two tracks previously only available on the deluxe edition of the band’s debut.
