Ideas aplenty from Norfolk prog trio. Norfolk’s Stealing The Fire – vocalist Saffron Paffron, guitarist Tim Lane and keyboardist Chris Bond – are in fine fettle on their third full-length album. There may only be five tracks on A Raven For A Dove, but even the shortest song is just under 10 minutes. Happily, this isn’t a case of overindulgence or a band chasing their own tails in perpetuity. Each track is packed with engaging ideas and shifts in mood and style. The Green Heart And The Summer Queen is a case in point: one of two instrumentals herein, it morphs between full-on prog rock and a swinging jazz feel.
