Prog metal quintet to release their first concept album in September.

British heavy prog favourites TesseracT have announced their first studio album in five years. War Of Being comes out on September 15 via Kscope and will be followed by an extensive world tour. Its lead single, the 11-minute title track, is currently streaming. “War Of Being is one of our most diverse records,” vocalist Dan Tompkins tells Prog. “We’ve learned a lot over the past few album cycles about finding an accessible and exciting way of writing songs for our audience, which is quite widespread. We don’t want to alienate anyone and we want to stay true to ourselves.” Lyrically, War Of Being is TesseracT’s first concept album.
