It’s been 13 years since Porcupine Tree’s conspicuous hiatus and 14 since they last performed in the city. Despite guitarist John Wesley and bassist Colin Edwin not being part of the reunion, and replacement bassist Nate Navarro forced away from the tour due to a family emergency, the joy of having the band back onstage, in any form at all, remains palpable. It’s difficult to gauge Magma’s set from the brief encounter that Prog gets, but talking to the crowd, the band remain as divisive as ever. Its 11 members close out with a thick slew of heady rhythms…
