Set within the delightful Key Theatre, the second Soundle Weekend, now moved to the more transport/accommodation-friendly Peterborough, is nothing short of an absolute triumph. Great music, great facilities, amazing venue staff. This is how to treat your audience. There is, however, but one small elephant in the room. Although certainly no criticism of Soundle, nor the bands themselves, it’s noticeable that over half of this bill have pretty much become staples for almost every boutique prog event in a packed calendar. Yes, these are good bands that people love seeing, but there are other bands out there, too.
