VENUE ROYAL ALBERT HALL, LONDON DATE 04/06/2024 Annoyingly switching the start time of tonight’s gig so late the information can’t be relayed to reviewers in time isn’t the Royal Albert Hall’s finest hour, but fortunately this writer’s usual time keeping has been blessed by the gods, and although we miss opener Machine Messiah, Yes are thankfully only just into The Ladder’s It Will Be A Good Day (The River) as we enter the main arena. Neither might be obvious choices to start a Yes show titled Classic Tales Of Yes, but they show a thoughtful approach to a set that manages to blend expected classics with deeper cuts that are welcomely received.
