Overlords WECAMEFROMSPACE.BANDCAMP.COM Morse man’s freewheeling quartet return on their own terms. During the decade that he’s spent touring with NMB (aka Neal Morse Band) on keyboards, Bill Hubauer has also been ploughing another creative furrow closer to home with We Came From Space. On the second album he’s produced with fellow Pennsylvanians Dave Buzard (guitar/vocals), Dave Hawk (bass/vocals) and Tim Malone (drums), the focus seems to be firmly on fun. ‘We’ll play some happy chords from the robot overlords,’ they sing on the title track, with the wry demeanour of men who are no strangers to Randy Newman’s back catalogue, but who also like to cut and shut pop songs into more complex patchworks.
