The No-Man artist marks 40 years in music with new LP.

Tim Bowness will drop his seventh, star-studded solo album on June 17 via InsideOut. Mixed and mastered by his No-Man co-member Steven Wilson, Butterfly Mind coincides with Bowness’ 40-year anniversary of being in the music business, and follows his acclaimed 2020 album, Late Night Laments. “I finished Late Night Laments on the day they announced the first lockdown,” he says, “then I didn’t write anything new for eight months. But in October 2020 I wrote the track Lost Player, and that’s where this one really kicked off.” Preceded by first single Always The Stranger, Butterfly Mind sees Bowness on adventurous, avant-garde form, with a core band comprising regular collaborator, guitarist Brian Hulse, bass great Nick Beggs and ex-Elbow drummer Richard Jupp. Guest contributors include Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson, VdGG’s Peter…
