Touch guitar expert Reuter (Stick Men, Crimson ProjeKt) needs little introduction in these parts, and here his former mixer Castagna steps up to a compositional role, having written some grand yet sensitive ambient backing for Reuter’s cerebral, fretwork. The mood is reflective and restrained on this haunting, oblique work. Dublin’s Nebularis go all in on their none-more-prog metal debut Exodus – Shattered Earth Saga – Part I (nebularis.bandcamp.com).
