Have you ever wondered what the result might be if you were to free up the boat designer of a major multi-million-pound boatbuilding corporation from the world of focus groups, market research, spreadsheets and emerging trends, and instead hand him a pencil and paper and ask him to just design a nice boat? The craft you see on these pages is pretty much exactly that. Adam Greenwood was design director for Fairline Boats Ltd, responsible for six- and sevenfigure high-performance yachts. But in 2012 he set up his own company in conjunction with Alan Bowers, himself an ex-Fairline finance director.
