Q I always struggle with electrolysis and anodes, so I would really welcome guidance on the suitability of my Golden Hind 31 Keppel’s anode for the forthcoming seven-month season in seawater. The ‘before’ picture shows the anode I fitted two years ago. Since then it has spent 12 months in fresh water and six in seawater. The anode is encrusted in white crud (spent zinc?), but beneath this there’s a huge lump of crud-free anode. The close-up picture illustrates this more clearly.
