Mornflake Hot Top Porridge Pots The new ‘Mornflake Top Porridge’ pots feature instant porridge oats with a top hat lid, containing either a single-portion pack of Nutella hazelnut spread or Lyle’s Golden Syrup. All you need to do is to add boiling water up to the line in the main pot, stir, replace the lid and leave for three minutes – then they’re ready to eat. Our testers found the porridge to be ‘creamy, tasty’ and ‘not too runny’. The portions were a good size. The little pots of syrup can be a little messy to open and the Nutella requires a spoon to get it out, but overall this would be a convenient product on board because all you need is a kettle and a spoon.
