Read his blog at www.offshore-sailor.com Let’s face it – owning a boat can make one’s wallet ache. The wringing sensation as money is squeezed out of it can reach excruciating levels. Faced with the imminent prospect of moving Shindig to the Caribbean, there to enjoy the UK’s winter months in what is the prime season amongst the various islands, the drain on our bank balance would in any other context be considered a breach of our human rights. But of course we’re not complaining. While doing some tentative passage planning though, it came as a refreshing surprise to stumble on a useful research facility which is absolutely free.
