Gia Naicker was the 2022 valedictorian of Reddam House Ballito. The 18-year-old, who lives in the North Coast town, attained 7As in the matric exams. She said her final exam was exciting but difficult and she prepared by working collaboratively with her school- friends. “I did a lot of past IEB papers and also made contact with friends from Reddam and previous schools I’ve been to. I made sure to be dedicated to my studies by managing my time and focusing on school. “It’s easy for teenagers to get distracted by parties and I stayed away from those environments.
