WITH our economy spiralling downwards towards a complete meltdown and the Eskom crisis at the centre of the vortex, long-suffering small business operators and citizens might be tempted to give up. Indeed, many have thrown their hands up in despair.
After hoping against hope for nearly 15 years that a solution would be found and implemented, the people are exhausted.
After five years of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s “New Dawn” administration, the people are at their wits’ end. And the government has failed to convince them that it has a solid plan and is resolute about implementing it.
It no longer means much to read in the newspapers that Ramaphosa has cancelled an umpteenth trip abroad to urgently deal with the crisis.
It sounds like a broken record.
