It’s too big, too heavy and too expensive – but the Vision Pro is also too wonderful, says Jon Honeyball

When I first saw the seminal film Blade Runner, there was a moment when I felt a shiver run down my spine: when Roy Batty said, “I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.” In those few words, Batty opened up a galaxy of the unknown. The only appropriate response to something this new is to stop. To take stock of what you have just seen, and then attempt to both put it into context and see where it will take us.
