Small and medium businesses (SMBs) can’t let their guard down when it comes to data security. The financial fallout from a data breach will be many times higher than the price of protection and, in the case of ransomware demands, could even drive them to extinction. The 2023 Cyber Threat Analysis report by ISP Beaming identified an 8% increase in cyberattacks over 2022. It isn’t looking any better in 2024 either, with Beaming saying it recorded a 5% increase in malicious online activity in the first three months of this year.
