SCORE PRICE £136 (£163 inc VAT) from westerndigital.com After years of capacity stagnation at 5TB, Western Digital recently upped its top-capacity portable hard drives to 6TB. Here, I’m testing the 6TB My Passport, but the gaming-focused WD Black and more basic Essential line benefit from the same capacity bump. It comes with an increase in height, too, with the 6TB model measuring 20.6mm thick to the 5TB drive’s 19.2mm, suggesting a platter has been added to the drive inside. The drives come with a plastic shell that’s grey on the bottom, but with a top lid that’s available in white, red, blue or black if you choose the “normal” model.
