I liked your article “Britain’s fibre broadband boom” (see issue 340, p32), but it seems that we have the classic British tale of having good ideas and then making a half-hearted attempt that means we fall short of our goals. The scramble for UK fibre broadband and market share is like the gold rushes that have happened around the world. Everyone wants a slice of the pie but most will fail; before the latest broadband rush I could choose from a couple of suppliers, but a few more have joined the fight.
