A fantastic price for a huge, paper-like screen, but there are compromises elsewhere

TCL hopes it has the answer with the Nxtpaper 14. Not only does it give you a whopping 14.3in display for under £400, but that display allows you to switch at the press of a button between a Regular mode for everyday use and two simulated E Ink modes for reading documents, books and magazines. This screen has its strengths and weaknesses. It goes reasonably bright at over 400cd/m2, and the Ink paper and Color paper modes are reasonably convincing – not quite matching the matte surface and even lighting of the Lenovo P12 with Matte Display, but…
