For a start, it’s the first that comes with Multi-Link Operation (MLO) enabled. MLO is one of the big new features in Wi-Fi 7, enabling clients to connect to the router using the 5GHz and 6GHz bands simultaneously for improved performance and stability. The firmware on the first tranche of Wi-Fi 7 systems lacked this capability, so this is the first opportunity we’ve had to try it out.
