AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Intel Core Ultra 200K series

AMD’s gaming chip is the clear winner of this battle, but don’t write off the 200K series just yet

But in truth these are very different chips. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is an out-and-out gaming processor, while Intel’s Core Ultra 200K series (codenamed Arrow Lake) are all-rounders. In particular, they’re the first x86 desktop CPUs to include a neural processing unit (NPU). Intel’s 200K series have more in common with Intel’s first generation Core Ultra processors for laptops than the 14th generation Core chips (such as the i7-14700K) they replace, as they’re based on the same Lion Cove P-cores and Skymont E-cores.
